Playing Devil’s Advocate: A Game for Practicing Argument Skills in Secondary ELA

The basic skill of English education at junior high school is practice of discussion. Since some authors handle all writing patterns as parameters, rhetorical skills are the key to creating compelling information for target readers. One way to practice controversial techniques is to go through a game called "I can not agree". In this game students act as proponents of the devil and oppose controversial topic assertions.
