Plato's argument from Meno: Virtue is a gift from God The central question in introducing this excerpt from the Plato dialogue is whether it is possible to teach virtues. For Plato, virtue is the power or harmonious soul or personality whose ownership leads to actions to ensure their good and benefits. Therefore, the natural assumption of Plato is that virtue is knowledge. The specific function is only profitable under the guidance of knowledge.
