Jhumpa Lahiri's short story, Unaccustomed Earth, depicted a complex relationship between a woman, Ruma and her widow's father, who tried to renegotiate their relationship after Ruma's mother died, very well written It is a story. As a second generation Bangladeshi immigrant, Ruma is experiencing a crisis of cultural identity. She is far from Bengali's roots. It had a profound effect on her relationship with her father. This story concentrates on the crisis of family responsibility.
