It is a great opportunity to introduce a thesaurus and its usage. I will teach the students how to make music activities using the thesaurus. I played various music with my students and asked them to write down all the words they thought when they heard them. One is sad and slow, one is bright, and the other is a big hard rock number. After the students finished listening, I asked them to share their words and talk about the new vocabulary. As a class, I explained that the meaning of each word might differ slightly, such as the difference between "sadness", "sadness", and "frustration". I introduced the thesaurus to the students and explained the procedure for finding another word that represents the same thing. Then, the thesaurus may list words with different meanings, so we emphasize the importance of understanding the meaning of that word.
