Piaget's Learning Theory in Basic Education In order to support the growth of children, educators try to provide an exciting classroom environment. They have implemented various strategies, tools, and practices to help achieve this goal. Because educators play an important role in the development of children, we need to become familiar with developmental psychology and understand their educational significance in the classroom. There are two major approaches to developmental psychology: (1) cognitive development related to Piaget and (2) social development related to Vygotsky.
