Piaget's Four Stages of Development

I chose a scenario on babies and educators. This is what I explain. Educators believe that babies are late at the developmental stage and may be based on Piaget's four developmental stages. This encouraged educators to put their babies in their "learning to stand on their own" position. The four developmental stages of Piaget occur in infancy, preschool, childhood and adolescence. Each stage is characterized by a general cognitive structure that affects all of the child's thoughts. Each stage represents an understanding of children's reality at the time, each stage is an inappropriate approximation of reality. Development from one stage to another depends on the child's understanding of the environment at that particular stage. This phenomenon eventually leads to cognitive imbalance in cognitive structures that need to be reorganized.

Jean Piaget is interested in how organism adapts to their environment. Piaget assumes that the baby is born in a pattern working at birth. This is called "reaction". Piaget identified four stages of cognitive development. These four stages are the sensory motor stage, the pre-operation stage, the specific operation stage, and the formal operation stage. Educational psychology develops and applies human development theory to understand the characteristics of learners during childhood, adolescence, adulthood and seniority. Developmental theories usually represent the stages through which people pass at maturity and represent a change in belief in the essence of psychic intelligence (cognition), social role, moral reasoning, and knowledge.

Adolescence is also a period of change in the process of cognitive development. Piaget has developed a cognitive development theory emphasizing the four stages that children have to experience. The four stages of Piaget's cognitive development stage are as follows. Sensory movement, preoperative, specific surgical and formal surgical stages. Since the focus of this article is adolescence, we will describe in detail the formal operation stage of 11 years old and older. Features of the formal operation stage are abstract thinking, logical thinking, and hypothetical reasoning. During Piaget's official activities, children have acquired abstract and hypothetical thought skills. In other words, the children can ask themselves about the hypothesis of the "hypothesis" type.
