The purpose of this experiment was to investigate the retestability of the tests performed by the practitioner on measuring the results in physical therapy. 17 subjects were recruited to participate in the experiment. Three separate readings were made for each subject on two different occasions.

52 participants with CLBP = 6 months were randomly assigned to 4 weeks of physical therapy, 1 hour of electroacupuncture (n = 26), or standard physical therapy (n = 26). The result measure was the use of pain (NRS-P) and Aberdeen-LBP. The scores of the acupuncture group NRS-P and Aberdeen-LBP were significantly reduced in the follow-up survey after 1 month and 3 months after treatment. Due to the lack of measurement of blindness and subjective outcome of the patient, the quality of the methodology is limited by possible damage to the integrity of blindness
