Physical Landscape of Ethiopia

Ethiopia is located in eastern part of Africa. According to the Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Ethiopia is located 3 'to 14' latitude, 33 'to 48' longitude. Ethiopia is a land that reminds me of many images: dusty, poor, world aid, aging war roll, famine and fighting. When we think of Ethiopia, we hardly consider rich dishes shared by food, complex taste, and large flat bread called Injera. Let's eat with natural tools, friends and family. We have not thought about these things, but this is the reality of Ethiopia today. This year, I volunteered and ran for 2 weeks in northern Ethiopia. When I first signed up on this trip, I did not know what would happen. Like most vegetarians who are planning to travel to unknown places, after the first excitement to settle in Africa, I mentally need Vega bars that I need to keep for 14 days I calculated. What kind of fruits can you buy on the other side of the world? Can I put all of those bars in my suitcase and underwear space?

Ethiopia is located in sub-Saharan Africa, adjacent to Sudan in the west, Somalia and Djibouti in the east, Kenya in the south and Eritrea in the northeast. The country is abundant with beautiful scenery and towering mountains. These mountains maintain a tropical cloud forest and are also places to grow coffee. Ethiopian coffee farmers grow coffee on four different systems: forest coffee, semi-forest coffee, garden coffee, and coffee cultivation. Ethiopian coffee can grow at an altitude of 550-2750 meters above sea level. However, most of the coffee produced in this country is grown in east, west, and south at altitudes between 1,300 and 1,800 meters. These highlands give a unique flavor to Ethiopian coffee. Coffee cultivated in highlands tends to produce flavors rich in fruits, spices, floral, berries and wine.
