Integration of Physical Activity into Socialization: Social Skills Program for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder Based on Exercise

The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of structured physical activity programs on children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) on social interaction and communication. 50 children with ASD from special school were randomly divided into experimental group and control group. Twenty-five children with ASD were enrolled in the experimental group and an additional 25 children participated in normal physical activity as a control group. A total of 41 participants completed the exam. A twelve - week structured sports program was launched in 24 exercise sessions for social exchanges and communication with ASD children.
