PHOTO ESSAY: HOLDING ONTO HOLIDAY TRADITIONS WHILE LIVING ABROAD

The longer the time I live abroad, the more important it is from childhood. Keeping at least some of these habits helps to animate my past while reducing the distance from my loved ones. I did not go home on Christmas in any way I like, but I will find a way to take it home, no matter where I am.

Persistence is as important as adapting and creating new ones. On my trip, I adopted a different way to celebrate Christmas, and to combine these, in my own way to spend the vacation.
