In this article, I will explain the theme of the philosophy of the heart (POM) which is divided into four fields of dualism, materialism, idealism, and neutral monism. However, due to the depth of these four areas, this article discusses dualism and neutral monism more deeply. Philosophy of the mind studies the relationship between the mind and the body. Dualism is the field of POM, and we believe that the reality consists of spiritual things and material things.
Monism is neutral one-sidedism. The conclusion of neutral monism is that neither spiritual attributes nor physical attributes are caused by reality, but rather substances called neutral (philosophy encyclopedia). Traditional materialism in monism suggests that everything is part of body and mind, body and mind (Encyclopedia Philosophy Lily). This means that the human mind acts with your body through a simultaneous connection. Dualists oppose the existence of one-sidedism. Dualists believe that there is a basic form of existence, but there are two forms of existence, the body and the mind. Dualists believe that both our body and mind exist, but the body and mind are different and separate (Xrefer - Dualism). The main problem of dualism is the problem of two different independent entities.
Dualism and monism are famous philosophical topics from ancient times to the present. The term "binaryism" means that our body and mind are independent. And our body and mind can not be the same. This is because the mind and body are two different substances. In contract, "universalism" means that both body and mind are combined into one. Our body and mind are indivisible and everyone is influenced by other people. Monism and dualism each have its own strengths and weaknesses. Physical and mental problems can be divided into various problems. Can we think about our mind or ask ourselves? What is your body? Are they coexisting, or are there hearts only in the body? Or does the body exist only in the mind? Otherwise, we will also think that there may be many kinds of relationships if both mind and body exist. Perhaps the mind will influence our body
There is a philosophy school called advaita in Indian philosophy. There are systems such as monism and dualism. However, advaita is a non-binary theory that is not a monism (it is a monism theoretically opposite to binaryism). A negative prefix 'a' is added to dvaita (non-duality) to give more rich meaning. This means more than the opposite of dualism. Heidegger uses a hidden prefix, but this is not a hidden antonym but a combination of what was hidden and revealed. In many cases, a negative prefix will say that it is not the original meaning, but leaves many other possibilities and gives richer meaning than positive terms. (I am not saying that all denials produce such a taste)
