Philosophy and Education

In this task we will examine the basic academic disciplines, history, philosophy, psychology, sociology, and relations between education and see how they adapt to modern society. I mainly study how the philosophy of today is education and how philosophers improve education for them. According to the American Sociological Association (ASA), sociology is a study of social life, social change, social cause, and human behavior.

What is the educational philosophy? Why is it important to you? Behind each school and all teachers there is a series of related beliefs (educational philosophy), which affect students' learning content and methods. Educational philosophy represents the answers to questions about the purpose of school education, the role of teachers, teaching, and how to use. What is the difference between teacher-centered educational philosophy and student-centered educational philosophy? The teacher-centered philosophy is often authoritarian and conservative, and emphasizes the value and knowledge that survives beyond time. The main educational philosophy centering on teachers is essentialism and perennialism.

These include essentialism, perennialism, progressiveism, social reconstructionism, existentialism, behaviorism, constitutionism, conservatism, humanism. For example, philosophy has varying degrees, there are life philosophy, religious philosophy, educational philosophy. However, they include four educational philosophies: perennialism, essentialism, progressiveism, and social reconstruction. After calculating my score on philosophical evaluation in the Kauchak and Eggen textbooks, I learned that my personal educational philosophy is an equal combination of perennial and social reconstruction. According to Kauchak and Eggen, perennialism includes the teachings of classical knowledge.
