Peter the Great was born in Moscow at the festival of St. Isaac (Hughes 1) in Dalmatia on Thursday 30 May 1672. His official name Pyotr Alexeevich is the 14th child born by Alexi I and the second wife Nataliya Kryillovna Naryshkina.
