Peter the Great and His Lifetime

Peter the Great did many things in his life, but he is best known for the Russian westernization. In 1682 Peter went into Russia, hoping to turn Russia into a more modern country, and he has his own way of doing it. This is Petro's way of doing things, or not at all. He believes that the best way to get a big European country is to become like them. When he began to westernize Russia, he sent fifty aristocrats to Western Europe and taught them about culture and lifestyle. Petro can change Russia in various ways, but he is exploring his own way. This is also a very independent path.

Peter the Great was born on 9 June 1672 in Peter Alekseyevich in Moscow, Russia. Peter the Great was a child of the 14th Emperor Alexis of his second wife, Natariya Kirillovna Naryshkina. When Ivan died in 1682, Peter and his brother Ivan V ruled together, and Peter formally declared the crown of all Russia. Peter inherited a seriously underdeveloped country compared to a culturally prosperous European country. While Renaissance and religious reform swept across Europe, Russia refused Westernization and was isolated from modernization.

Peter's wonderful road, born in 1672 as the 14th child of Emperor Alexei I, is not so obvious. After his father died in 1682, Peter had to share power since he was named a United Tour together with his brother Ivan. In 1695, some officers helped Peter to lead the army against the Ottoman Empire. In 1696 Petro conquered the Azov sea port of Ottoman in the Black Sea.
