Personal Reflection on Young Goodman Brown by Nathanial Hawthrone

When Brown made this accusation, I began thinking about some ideas that might have taken place in the story. In the story, we met Faith, Brown's wife, "My love and my faith" (187). When he said this he was talking with his wife, but Brown was also talking about his doubts about God. From faith, we noticed a pink ribbon on her hat. Ribbon represents purity and innocence, it is a casual attitude towards life. He told the face that he should go on a trip to the forest symbolizing temptation and evil.
