Choosing your major is the most difficult task that I face when studying with UC Merced. Many students choose majors based on statistics and ideals, but my decision is mainly based on my strong commitment and my enthusiasm. In addition, during the maturity of the past two years, I learned that occupation should include your love, talent, and desire for success on this topic. As I mentioned in my application, my first job was to take care of the infant in the camp daycare environment of my community camp during the summer camp. That made me interested in psychology and human development.
I grew up in Ireland, where I began receiving liberal arts education. At Trinity College Dublin I studied French and Russian, and history and politics, while acquiring a bachelor's degree in the art of European studies. I finally chose Russian major and spent one year at the Diplomatic Academy in Moscow. There, I worked as an intern at Ernst & Young's post office, which seemed to be lacking in appeal, which was a wonderful learning experience. I graduated from Trinity in 2006 and went to work for the Ireland startup called i-conX, which is developing software for the telecommunications industry. As a startup, I cooperate with existing customers, especially to help grow my business in the Russian market. I have worked in Georgia state (country, not state) for several months in the largest mobile phone company field. I do not have venture capitalists in New York, especially in my mind.
In Maryland, I do not know what I would like to do. My parents want me to be a doctor. I am not very interested, but I received some preparatory courses anyway. I have chosen general learning as a major subject (an expert for those who do not know what they want to become experts), and began to meet my basic requirements. Since the university is not really structured, I entered a mode not going to class or doing homework. Most courses are boring, I can not learn at all in the class.
