Personal Narrative: A Christmas night concert

"Reindeer of red nose Rudolph ...", he gently sang. His voice echoed to our home in Boys II above the boys' Christmas music truck, and the music was played deliberately through the second floor hall. There is a pink cotton bathrobe, a silk satin's Isotoner slippers, a head full of 3 inch rollers and a corridor with nasty wooden wire and holiday decorations to the oak balcony overlooking the front entrance I was walking. Under our house I was standing at the bottom of a sturdy black oak spiral staircase as if he was a celebrity on stage. And I played alone for groups of sold out people.

General reaction: The concert I participated is SPX Magic for Christmas by Charlotte Symphony Orchestra by Albert-George Schram director. This is the first professional orchestral concert I participated and the first concert I studied at UNC Greensboro. When I was walking down the street in downtown Charlotte, the wind blew my face and small raindrops were thrown into the air. It looks like Christmas.

This is Christmas Eve - Or the week before and after Christmas, I do not remember. With Thanksgiving, we feel the same feeling throughout the night - cold and Christmas. No matter what night it is, we are sitting next to the whole picture, in another reality it may not keep us cold. In between the heater and the trees, we sat on the air mattress (we have no furniture) and we did the monopoly. We doubt that normal families will play games on vacation. My husband is just a little away from me in three months and returned to Serbia to complete his study. We can not afford to buy a flight, so we do not know when we should meet each other.

On Christmas Eve, in 1967 it was my first night patrol. "Happy Fucking Christmas" has been added to my expanding vocabulary. Two team patrols are discharged everyday. One in the morning and the other in the evening. Chavez and Keller believe it is good for us to allow them to spend the evening and send new people. The head of the night patrol was a Marine named Fitch. Corporal Fitch is a veteran. In other words, he has been in this country for a while, has seen enough, has sufficient responsibility to send a Marine team. The number of teams varies depending on sickness, injury, turnover, or death, but usually 9 to 12 people, preferably 12 to 14 people, but rarely to reach this number

When the year end # 12 for 12 concert was held in November (5 th, my birthday night), I did not participate for the first time, but I participated in Christmas last at the last. He has never played authentically and worked harder than anyone else, so I am delighted that my friend got the opportunity to do something. In order to shorten a long story, he turned a 10 minute game into a tour with Mike Miller. His performance is the best performance of the night - under 50 people, all friends, no fans, it does not matter; Christmas treats it like a blues-filled house. I can not wait to help him open the show again.
