Personal Michigan Hero essay contest for 8th grade students

The America & Me Essay Competition encourages young people, especially people with personal differences, to write down American heroes.

This year's contest will be held from September 1st to November 16th and students will be asked to write a topic on "My Personal Michigan Hero". The registration kit will be sent to the Michigan school in early September.

Anyone in the eighth grade of primary school enrolled in a public or private school in the state of Michigan can participate in this competition. It provides incentives for regional and statewide. Approximately 400 school students in Michigan state submitted more than 3,500 papers at last year 's competition

This year, the first athlete of each school will participate in the state-wide competition. Ten main papers will be selected and a prize of US $ 1,000 will be awarded to each winner.
