This part of the app is only a part of considerations for making an admission decision, but it helps to provide context to other applications.

In the personal insight section of the app you can provide information to give more information about you about you during the review process. Your answer to your personal insight question should add clarity, richness, and meaning to information in other parts of your application. You should respond to 4 out of 8 questions and share important achievements, ideas, experiences and talents for you with us. The answer to the question should reflect your own personal opinion and should be supplemented rather than repeating information somewhere in your application.

2018-19 The UC application contains eight "personal insight questions", and all applicants have to write answers to the four questions. These mini-papers are limited to 350 words and are an alternative to the long personal statements needed by many other applications. Unlike the California State University system, all campuses at the University of California have a comprehensive admission permit and short personal insights may play an important role in the entrance ceremony. Your answer to the four personal insight questions is an important part of your entrance fee and scholarship renewal or transfer application. Your test scores and grades show us what you have accomplished in your study; your response to your hints will allow you to understand you through your experience and accomplishments I will. Personal insight provides the background of other information in your application and gives you opportunities to discuss your personal commitment to learning, special talent, creativity, leadership experience, achievements, contributions you will bring to college . Or other information important to us, such as personal qualities, and responses to your perseverance and life challenges. UC's personal insights vary from year to year, but about the same series of answers. The purpose of these questions is to emphasize academic preparation and motivation, interests, professional and career goals. You answer these questions and tell you why you are suitable for research at UC Davis graduate school.
