Performance Practice in a World Music Ensemble

In the performance of World Music Ensemble, as one of the purposes of the Indiana University International Vocal Ensemble (IVE), I will introduce singing cultural music other than Western in my mother tongue and singing as perfect vocal and music style as possible. The subsequent goal is to imitate the music exactly when presenting the auditory model. Music teachers are often influenced by the teaching habits of the university ensemble they play. The opportunity to participate in the university world music ensemble has increased in recent decades; West African ensembles and steel belts represent the second and third most common ensemble in the United States. In this study, two heads of the West African Chorus and two college steel bands interviewed using tools developed by researchers to investigate educational practices conducted in their ensemble went.
