Lisa Gibson's eighth grade English class students participated in a writing competition titled "Patriot's Pen" sponsored by local VFW Post. Local officers sponsored the first level. The local level announced two winners. First place is Cade Bracelin. He has received a savings bond of 100 dollars. The second winner will be Aby Fernandez and will receive a $ 50 savings deposit. Their papers enter the regional / regional level. Papers are judged based on subject knowledge, theme development, clarity of thought.
