Patriot's Pen Brochures

Lisa Gibson's eighth grade English class students participated in a writing competition titled "Patriot's Pen" sponsored by local VFW Post. Local officers sponsored the first level. The local level announced two winners. First place is Cade Bracelin. He has received a savings bond of 100 dollars. The second winner will be Aby Fernandez and will receive a $ 50 savings deposit. Their papers enter the regional / regional level. Papers are judged based on subject knowledge, theme development, clarity of thought. Promising to encourage better understanding and appreciation of the United States, VFW's voice democracy and patriot's pen contest will help nurture the patriotism of today's youth. These programs also promote friendly competition and reward success with a $ 3 million scholarship. The democratic voice of 2018 - 19 demands high school students to think about "why my vote is important". The audio paper contest is open to all students in the 9th and 12th grades and the highest scholarship is 30,000 dollars.
