Patrick Süskind's Portrayal of Grenouille as a Monster in Perfume

The world has released many concepts of monsters, such as mythical creatures and mythical humanoids. The purpose of these monsters is to protect or kill the purpose, and there is the concept of killing innocent monsters for the purpose of creating scents. In PatrickSüskind's novel "Perfume", the author draws this monster as Grenouille. Süskind plays such a role of intentionally killing the smell of many people regardless of age and maturity. Grenouille is a monster because he escapes secular problems and abuses the power of fragrance to attract love.

PatrickSüskind's novel "Perfume" is exploring the issue of isolation and its impact on humans. The novel is based on the leading character Jean-Baptiste Grenouille. He was abandoned by his mother, his surrogate mother, and the church. All the personality Grenouille attracts feels he is somewhat unusual and awful, mainly because he does not have his own odor. Grenouille tried to find his own personality through the first smell. And it changed from temptation and hatred.
