The purpose of this article is twofold. First, its aim is to provide baseline data on the experience, knowledge and attitudes of mental health workers to diagnose patients with borderline personality disorder (BPD). Secondly, the aim of this paper is to provide education and training guidance for mental health practitioners in the field of patient management diagnosed as borderline personality disorder. In this case, the questionnaire is a tool suitable for collecting information. Rather than using an interview, researchers can reach out to a wider range of psychiatrists (n = 516). However, this article can be extended by using semistructured interviews or focus groups (Greenhalgh 2010) to further investigate this issue.
Regarding the staff's attitude towards patients diagnosed with borderline personality disorders, the literature tends to point out that care focus is mainly managed by caregivers, but all mental health areas cooperate with personality disorder patients I think that it is correct to do. (Bland et al. 2003, Bowers 2002, Cleary et al 2002, James & Cowman 2007, McVey & Murphy 2010). Therefore, due to the depicted negative stereotypes, these workers may make a negative view on the patients who have been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder.
