Patient safety refers to reducing the risk of unnecessary injury associated with health care to an acceptable minimum without causing preventable harm to the patient during the healthcare process. The minimum acceptable level is the collective concept of providing a situation of care in relation to given current knowledge, available resources, and nontherapeutic or other therapeutic risks.

Each point of the care process contains some inherent anxiety. Research published in many countries shows that during medical treatment many patients are injured, causing permanent damage, long-term stay in medical institutions, even even death.
