Myth is a fictional story about cultural beliefs and traditions. The characters in myths are usually gods or goddesses with special abilities, or those who do amazing things.

The subject of analysis is an important part of reading literature in the classroom. Students can begin to analyze the theme of literature they have read in four ways. Through novels students can easily analyze topics through repeated images and other topics. Once the student has identified the topic, you can also explain the meaning of the topic using that repeating image. If there are many images representing sadness, such as cloudy or gray, the reader can guess what this means for the entire story. Repeating the image may add even smaller themes. Students can then link them to the whole topic analysis.
