"Firefighting regulations" were submitted to the Controller and reviewed when reading. Public comments were highly appreciated. Regulation provides three main advantages. It divides the county into three different high fire hazard areas. In these areas, you can choose the fire regulation in the restricted area, not the whole county, to support the diversity of the landscape of Park County and its associated fire problems. It will allow the counties to coordinate with the fire protection regulations of state and federal partners. In the absence of such regulation, we must wait for the situation to reach an emergency. Because of the definition, the time of adjustment is not permitted in an emergency situation. Regulation also provides the sheriff's office with the necessary statutory tools for law enforcement agencies. If you have any questions about firefighting rules, please contact Park County Fire Warden (406) 222-4188.
