Through the movie, John was illusory about some people, but the three people often relapsed with specificity. Charles, William Passcher, and a little girl named Marcy. Each of these roles appears at a specific time, and more interestingly, each character seems to represent John 's specific way of thinking. All of John's fantasies seems to accompany tension starting from entering Princeton University (there is no doubt everyone has pressure).
