Traditionally peace education at the university has been done in the peace research program. It was usually done in the fields of political science and international relations. However, in the educational program peace education has increased. Developing a program that emphasizes the citizenship of the world 21 Along with the increasing number of violence in schools, such as bullying and school shooting, the numerous peace education for young people is a nonviolent strategy and youth conflict resolution skills It focuses on.

With the awareness of the urgency of educating students on international understanding through World War I and World War II, many educators have developed initiatives to promote peace. For example, at the end of World War I, the Institute for International Education was established to promote educational exchanges between students and teachers as a way of promoting global understanding. The institute is also sponsored to establish an international exchange club within the university campus. In the 1920s, several universities in the US including Harvard University participated in the Global Alliance Simulation and got the opportunity to educate on global issues, interdependence, threats to peace and security.

For nearly a century, the International Education Institute (IIE) is the world leader in international education. We will endeavor to build a more peaceful and equitable society by promoting scholarships, building economics, and promoting access to opportunities. As a non-profit organization with 18 offices and affiliates worldwide, IIE works with companies, governments and foundation partners around the world to design and manage scholarships, study abroad, workforce development and leadership skills I am carrying out a program.
