P2P: The Future of Computing

Abstract: This article describes peer-to-peer file sharing and distributed computing. In the mid 1980's, LAN vendors used the term P2P or peer-to-peer to describe compute nodes on their networks. Previously this term was used to represent ARPAnet, a military computer network that is a model of today's Internet [1]. Today, however, the term P2P has very different meanings. It describes an application specifically designed to use the Internet as an extension of the local network and to exploit peer-to-peer relationships between computers [2]. Its main uses include not only sharing a large amount of information but also sharing it.

A P2P network is a computer or network architecture that shares tasks, jobs, or files among peers. Peers are partners in the network and have the same privileges and authorities within the environment. In a P2P network, each computer or user is referred to as a "node", which together contain the P2P network of the node. A simple way to think about P2P networks and nodes is through an initial file sharing service like Napster. Users can log in to Napster and share the audio files stored on their computers. You can then access the audio files available on other nodes of the P2P network. If copies of available audio files are duplicated, the P2P network shares these files among the nodes. If you want to download a specific audio file, the P2P network looks at the node, extracts a portion of the audio file from each node that owns it, and edits a copy of the audio file for you.

A peer-to-peer (P2P) network to promote P2P file sharing is a useful computational metaphor, but it is more powerful if it is a smart agent to exchange information and exchange. The interaction between agents (A2A) is a very powerful metaphor that can greatly reduce the level of consumer interaction necessary to achieve consumer goals. Mass customization is a business strategy designed to produce products and services that meet the needs of individual consumers while achieving economies of scale. Personalization is a small aspect of this customization. Software Agent Technology is the perfect positioning technology to pursue personalized and customized services to meet the needs, goals, and desires of producers, distributors, and consumers of services.

P2P (peer-to-peer) is a growing way to exchange information. In most cases P2P is defined as a shared computer resource such as information exchange such as disk storage, processing capacity, direct communication between computing systems. Everyone in the P2P system can function as both client and server. Napster is probably the most famous P2P site and Kazaa is another site (Despotovic, Usunier, and Aberer 2003). Looking at these definitions, we can see some differences. C2C is an act between buyer and seller, but media is connected directly. In this case it is an auction site. Both of them know that they are involved in sales and purchase. Because there is a dealer between the seller and the buyer, participants have a set of rules and regulations such as user registration and consent agreement.
