Pākehā History

Between 1800 and 1840, various Pakehas came to this country for various reasons. These groups include explorers (though they were before the 19th century), closures, whales, merchants and missionaries. All of these groups have different goals and therefore have different effects on the local Maori population. The explorer plotted the chart of the country and announced its existence; the closure harvesting the seals did not have much impact on the local Maori; while creating the "hell cave in the hell", the whale is a whale Hunted; missionaries have the greatest influence.
