The surviving Holocaust and father of Diary writer Anne Frank. Otto was born in Frankfurt, Germany, and worked for the German army during the First World War. After the war he returned home for family management, a bank established by his father Michael. He married Edith Holland in 1925 and has two daughters, Ann and Margo. When a man and a woman broke up, they arrived at Auschwitz, and Otto had never seen his wife and daughter. As the only survivor of the group, Otto returned to the Netherlands after the war. One of the assistants, Miep Gies, was told that after Anne and Margot died in Bergen-Belsen, he found Anne's diary in a secret attachment and returned it to Otto. Otto shared a part of Ann 's diary with friends and family, and a positive reaction urged to decide to announce the first diary released in Europe in 1947. Ann's diary is said to be the second most popular in the world. Until his life is over, Otto continues to participate in diaries and related works (eg drama and movies). He sent Anne's first diary to the Netherlands War Document Institute protected by Anne Flander Keane's copyright. He died in Basel and moved with her second wife and stepmother.
