Many citizens today mistakenly believe that cannabis criminalization has become effective as a result of a survey conducted by trained scientists and doctors on due diligence. The real cause of cannabis as a criminal offense has little to do with the harmful effects of the use of recreational medicine and is related to the economic revenue of the industrial complex that is deeply rooted in the country. The main supporters of the campaign to ban the cannabis are powerful businessmen who make big bets in the papermaking, pharmaceutical and petrochemical industries.
In the United States, the state marijuana law is currently undergoing an accelerated course of federal marijuana law. This reflects the result of our disagreement on the double legal system. The use of cannabis is legalized in the eight provinces and the District of Columbia, but under the Regulated Substances Act (CSA), hemp is still illegal under Federal law.
