Organic Hair Color Hair products and organic dyes in cosmetics have historically been used in many aspects of culture and art. Today, organic dyes are used in the process of hair coloring and coloring, taking into account many aspects of organic molecules. The title of my project is quantitative analysis of lead acetate in progressive hair dye. Hair colorants are divided into three basic categories: permanent, semi-permanent and temporary. Temporary dyes can be washed away immediately. Permanent hair dye is by far the most popular. They are subdivided into oxidative hair dye and progressive hair dye. The active ingredient of the progressive hair dye product is lead acetate. In the United States, current regulations stipulate that lead acetate can be used as a coloring additive for hair dyes as long as the concentration is less than 0.6%. Harmful effects on the brain and nervous system are known. There are three levels of hair coloring. Grade 1 or semi-permanent color is the least harmful of the three. Semi-permanent hair dye adds color without significantly changing the color of nature. It contains small color molecules entering the stratum corneum and entering the cortex of the hair. It only covers it with its own temporary color and does not interact with the natural pigment of the hair. This hair dye usually needs 6 to 12 shampoo before washing. As the molecule is small, it eventually comes out of the hair shaft and leaves the hair just like before treatment.
