Puberty is the period of development of identity, during which individuals learn to understand the social world. Furthermore, the interpretation of individualism in this age is often explained as a transition from childhood to adulthood. Since colleagues express their personality through clothing and subculture, uniforms restrain these opportunities for students, restrict their personal choices, and reject their preferences.

School uniforms create identities and solidarity in schools. By having students wear in the same way, you can advertise that they are all part of something bigger than yourself. While school uniforms tend to be overlooked in discussions on uniforms, uniforms often change schools from places where simple students live to where they belong. Uniforms allow students to give express school an obvious identity - a substance and reality that students can see and be proud of. Uniforms create clear "our" ideas, they are not (they are students of other schools).

More and more private schools use clothing regulations instead of uniforms. You can still find uniforms in religion, parish and military schools. Probably the most famous school uniform is worn by boys at Eaton College. It is still wearing everyday, but if you wear uniforms, uniforms in American schools are not so formal.
