Oncology Clinical Trials at Holy Cross Hospital: A Cost-Effective Model

Introduction Costs associated with conducting clinical trials are areas that many organizations do not take into account. I like to call it "hidden costs" or administrative expenses that organizations create to maintain unregistered clinical trials. Regardless of whether the study is recruiting patients or not, there is a sufficient budget to meet the economic needs of the research, as costs are rising in almost all areas of clinical trials.

Katy from Flatiron: I came from health care to healthtech. Prior to joining Flatiron, we conducted a clinical trial at the Eastern Oncology Group. From my background in oncology and clinical trials, I became a flat iron. As I experienced a lot of inefficiency in the field of ECOG's clinical research, I am really ambitious to find a place where we can improve their inefficiencies found in Flatiron. Blink 's Tej: I got my first health care after graduation. I am doing strategic consulting, and finally I have done a lot of consulting in the pharmaceutical field. The last project I went to was a medicine that cooperated with a major pharmaceutical company to treat Alzheimer's disease. The company recognizes that this medicine is not superior to other competitors, but it still costs hundreds of thousands of dollars to enter the market.

In 2015 we organized an event focused on the management of oncology clinical trials that would be failed and failed in the critical stages of the management of new medicines and equipment. It is unbelievable to hear reports of oncology examinations by Dr. Ben Kong and Dr. Vishal Gopal at a big hospital in Sydney. Cancer clinical trials may be international efforts across several national hospitals. There are many difficulties, including understanding the patient's response to treatment, reacting in a timely manner, keeping inventory, and facilitating easy access to the data.
