I have not experienced anything as disappointed as the crisis of faith. This is a painful, painful global warpage realization, and begins slowly as the pain increases. However, like ice melting in your hands, pain leads to absolute numbness. For me, this disaster started 10 years after I left the Christian community. When I started going to the University of Wisconsin, an out-of-state Christian liberal arts school, as I expected, instead of the various competing doctrine and life experiences, there were thousands of two homogenous student groups Teenagers surprised by the fact that they were also outside denominations, they grew up in a huge church, and still have difficulty finding out yet
In the past 15 years, the Super Church has prospered in America and around the world. (A huge church is a big church with more than 2,000 followers per week). Almost all of these super churches are broadcasting services through major television networks, the Internet and satellite broadcasting. Many non-Christians and Christians look at these programs and sometimes have some opinions about the church - good or bad.
A huge church is a Christian church with a very large congregation, with an average of more than 2,000 people attending weekly worship. As of 2009, the largest super college church in the United States is located in Houston, Texas, with an average of over 43,000 participants a week (Bogan, 2009). Giant sediments exist in other parts of the world, especially in South Korea, Brazil and some African countries, but the rise of the American gigantic church is a rather recent phenomenon, occurring mainly in California, Florida, Georgia and Texas doing.
At the state level, the number of super churches was the largest in California and the number of praise increased by 50% or more. However, when the population density (p) was observed in the worshiper (w) of the Great Church, the Texas ratio was 67: 1 (p: w). This means that one in six or seven seven inhabitants of California and Texas worships in a huge church. Looking at the two cities in each state, Dallas (385 square miles) accounts for 75% of Los Angeles (498 square miles) land, but Los Angeles has more than three times the population. Therefore, in terms of the number of super churches, population density is not necessarily an important factor. The population of Los Angeles and the ratio of big city people is 39: 1, but the population of Dallas is 20: 1. In other words, one out of twenty in Dallas lives in a huge church. I can conclude that the majority of Dallas citizens are participating in super chapel.
