In 1972, following the opposition of American students and the Senate's vote, Indian symbols and names were later rejected by President Richard Lehmann. More than 80% of undergraduates live in one of the 31 girls and shared dormitories on campus. Each has its own tradition, heritage, event and sports team. There are no living in Greece on campus, but most students live in the same dorm for four years. The university has partnered with the Holy Cross and there are over 47 chapels in the campus, but religious beliefs are not a standard for admission. There are more than 120,000 graduates in this university, including prominent alumni such as Condolezza Rice, Nicholas Sparks and Joe Montana.
