On "Distant View of a Minaret"

In Alifa Rifaat's "View of Distant Minaret", a lonely wife explained her husband as "an excluded world" (Rifaat, 1996, p. 256). The distant view of Minaret opens for sexual intercourse between husband and wife. The story is told from his wife 's point of view, and soon it will be discovered that in this interaction she is neither interested nor alienated from her husband. In the past she recalls that she tried to express the desire of sexual satisfaction to her husband who was answered with rejection and anger. At some point in her action, she began to notice the call for prayer. After that she did the necessary baptism and prayer. This is a ceremony that I felt more intimate with my husband's relationship. Then she went out of the window, looked at the spire in Cairo and talked about how the new building saw several spiers before the new building blocked them. The first story, "Distant view of Minaret" is about a depressed wife. For many years, she was tired of repeatedly refusing her husband to satisfy her. Her disinterest was reflected in the last scene She quietly drank coffee and sent her child to see the doctor after her husband died of a heart attack. "Bahiyya's Eyes" is the next story of the series, a short and persuasive depiction of the lives of women from childhood to old age. A young protagonist is obliged to resect clitoris, forced to marry her will, then become a widow, afterwards forced to raise a child alone, and eventually overwhelmed by her old age loneliness.
