Old Indian Temple - Malai Mandir, New Delhi

Birla Mandir is located close to Connaught Place in New Delhi. It is one of the first temples built by Indian villas and is one of the main attractions of Delhi. The temple was built by famous industrialist and philanthropist Baldeo Das Birla and his son Birla's Jugal Kishore Birla. Construction of the temple began in 1933 and was completed in 1939. The Indian gate is one of the most popular monuments at the eastern end of Raj Path in New Delhi. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Delhi. The Indian Gate, originally known as the All India War Memorial, is a war memorial hall that marks the 70 thousand Indian soldiers who died during the First World War. Birla Mandir or Laxminarayan Temple is located in Mandir Marg, West of Connaught Place in New Delhi. The temple spreads to about 7 acres of land. There are statues of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi in the main hall. There are other small shrines dedicated to Shiva God, Ganesha God, Hanuman. There is also a temple dedicated to Buddha. The shikhar (dome) on the left contains the power of Shakti Goddess Devi Durga. The temple also contains many shrines, a large garden of fountains and Hindu sculptures, and the words of Geeta Bhawan. The whole temple building is very quiet and there are few crowds. However, in Janamashtami and Deepawali, most people visit the temple.
