Every year, thousands of Oklahoma students encourage state-wide teachers and are participating in the Oklahoma National History Day (OkNHD) program. OkNHD is part of National History Day and is a highly acclaimed academic program for students from 6th grade to 12th grade. More than 500,000 students participate each year. Students select historical topics related to that topic and conduct extensive primary and secondary research through libraries, archives, museums and historical sites. After analyzing and interpreting the sources, students will draw conclusions about the importance of their subject matter in history before presenting their work to original papers, exhibitions, performances, websites and documentaries. The student program competes in the region, the state, and the national competition in the spring and is evaluated by specialist historians and educators. A student in Oklahoma State will participate in the state finals every May
Oklahoma is divided into ten regions. Regional competitions determine who is entitled to participate in the state competition. Teachers planning to participate in the Oklahoma History Nineties will contact their regional convention coordinators and will be informed of the participation deadline, entry fee, details of other competitions, and special awards given at regional conventions ) You need to understand.
The history of Oklahoma is the history of Oklahoma and the land that the state currently occupies. The East Oklahoma strip was bought for purchase in Louisiana in 1803, and Panhandle was not bought before the Mexico - American acquisition after the American War. Historians David Baird and Danny Goble have explored the essence of the historical experience of the people of Oklahoma. They said, "People in Oklahoma share their experiences over time while talking about optimism, innovation, perseverance, entrepreneurial spirit, common sense, collective courage, and simple decentness.
This is one of my favorite stories in the history of Oklahoma. A few days ago a museum friend, Fred 's staff called me from Bolivia. Yes, Bolivia in South America. Fred is an Oklahoma writer and currently lives in Bolivia. In any case, Fred wants to know that we know about Frank James, who lives in Oklahoma at the time the People's Republic was founded. In the future of Fred, there should be a story of James' treasure in the Wichita Mountain Range. Every conversation about James Gang reminds me of the relationship between Edward O'Kelly, Ed Kelly, or Red Kelly, and Oklahoma City and James Gang.
