Official Voter Information Guide

The vote of this bill is that state law does not limit the type of rental management law that the city and county can have.

Otherwise voting on this measure means that state law will continue to limit the rent management law that cities and counties may have.

PRO Prop.10 will restore the authority to establish rental management in the community and set a fair annual limit to the amount the landlord can raise the rent. By doing this, the tenant can stay at home, not being pushed far away or becoming homeless. TEN protects TENant. CON Prop.10 exacerbates the housing crisis but does not do it well. Affordable housing supporters say that props 10 are not good for tenants and are bad for homeowners.
