Through comprehensive coordination work at the federal, state and local levels, OJP's Juvenile Justice and Crime Prevention Office (OJJDP) is aiming to reduce juvenile crime and violence. Through research and programming, OJJDP supports prevention and early intervention programs that revolutionize young people and their communities and strengthen the juvenile justice system across the country. Other OJP components, such as the Judicial Assistance Department, the National Department of Justice, Crime Victims Department, etc., also provide programming and research support for outreach activities for young people and their families.

The National Justice Research Institute is an integral part of the Judicial Support Bureau, the Judicial Statistics Bureau, the Crime Victim Office, the Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Bureau, and the Judicial Planning Bureau, which includes sex offenders, surveillance, arrest, registration and tracking. Officer Corrector's Responsibility Criminal Officer (CO) plays an important role in the wider prison system as its mission is to ensure that their facilities function effectively. As a front-line station of prison institutions (Lipsky, 2010), CO is responsible for the supervision of prisoners' activities, the implementation of rules and regulations, the provision of social services to criminals, and perhaps the maintenance of the most important order Owing (Crawley, 2004, Kaufman, 1989).
