John Steinbeck's "The Mouse and the Man" vividly depicts the rural life of the United States vigorously. It is a tragic story of George Milton and Ronnie Small. The work of John Steinbeck is most often regarded as a sort of literature that directly participates in and intervenes in social conditions with social realism literary tradition, social problems (usually economic). This is a story about two men, a small and clever man named George, a big, late, and a spiritual man. That name is Lenny 's mentally disabled. The story is based on these two characters Their broken dream is to find real happiness on the farm. But these are not the only characters in this story; there are some other characters that play an important role in the development of this story. They are Curly, Carly 's father (Boss), Curley' s wife, Candy, Slim, Carlson, Crook. "Mouse and Man" is almost a novel divided into six chapters. Steinbeck is very focused on developing tragic plots in a classical way. The first two chapters are mainly illustrative, explaining isolated environments, introducing characters, and developing relationships between Lenny and George. In the conflict between Collie and Lenny, Chapter 3 started to rise. When this huge man easily beat Carly 's hand, his power was actually seen for the first time and told trouble trouble. Part IV
