Oedipus the King

Edepus' King Edps is a good example of a tragedy. It includes a complete combination of all the features of the tragedy. Aristotle defined Edipus as "a clear example of the shape and purpose of tragedy" in his poetry [1]. In tragedy, the Greeks dramaed the climax of heroic living, and the story of Oedipus is no exception. By using many different literary devices it brings an ethical dilemma of behavior and motivation to public places. According to the Prophet that the Prophet Tiresias would bring Oedipus' s "life" and "destruction", actions were taken within the time of the day.

Oedipus - The hero of King Oedipus and Oedipus of Cologne. Before the action of King Edpses began, Edips was king of Thebes.
