Edips: Tragic heroes, edeps, or edepus are the first drama "The Cycle" by Sophocles. It tells the story of the king who is about to escape fate, but doing so only leads to his downfall. Edips is a typical example of Aristotle's definition of a tragic hero. Aristotle defined a tragic hero as a basic and kind nobleman. Edips is a noble lineage; his parents who raised him when he was a child were King of Police and Merlin, Queen of Corinth.

Sophocles' "Oedipus King" has a hero of a very famous tragedy. Aristotle must have 6 features in one of the tragic heroes. One of them is that a tragic hero must have a noble position. Another feature of a tragic hero is a tragic defect. The third feature of Aristotle 's definition is that a tragic hero must have a certain awareness of his crime for a while. Edeps strongly shows each of these three essential features strongly; and he is an obvious tragic hero. To the king of Edips, the exquisite appearance of Edipus immediately appeared. The beginning of the play began when Edpses told the people of Thebes. He said, "Yes, I call it a wonderful edepus" (5). This indicates that Oedipus has a certain aristocratic temperament.
