Obedience At All Costs

There is no doubt that the next command is one of the features the military wants their soldiers to have; however this quality is controversial. Rob Liner caught the fight with his movie "A Few Good Men". In this movie, two men, Lance Corporate Dawson and Private First Class Downey, were accused of killing Marines and Private First Class San Diego. Dawson and Downey argued that they had not committed a crime, but instead followed the order to execute a "red code". "Red code" is defined as a disciplinary action taken by a Marine Corps within a Marine Corps.

Of course, not every obedience is malignant. Obedience has an important function as a social bond and it is a behavioral link that people rank in the hierarchy.
