Emperor Jones O'Neill's Emperor Jones of Eugene O'Neill, Emperor Brutus Jones is an African-American male who has gone up to "Emperor (Haiti) 2 years later" (343). Jones looked down on their subjects, even though they were as much as Africa themselves, they regarded them as animals. In return, Jones himself experienced a transformation that made humans inhumane and gave him very primitive animal-related features. Through this juxtaposition O'Neil let him criticize the inhuman influence of the authorities against black species.
This article describes some of the main prototypes used by Eugene O'Neill in Jones Emperor and how each of these prototypes can predict Jones' multi - level decay role. By creating a silver bullet myth, Jones is basically a materializing of a liar prototype in the drama.
