Edinburgh Tea Train is a new tea center opened in 2017. Food and landscape At the tea center you can enjoy authentic breakfast, tea and snacks. They also sell tea products (they are much cheaper than other products, but the quality is very good). They offer special tea garden tours and specialty teas of the month. Please ask the staff for details. To tea house is 2 minutes by car from Nanuya station (to Nuwara Eliya), so be sure to have a tea train before and after the train.

Take a train to Nuwara Eliya or Era through green tea plantation. Tickets for Nuwara Eliya are about $ 2.5 / 400 LKR. A trip to Nuwara Eliya will take 4 hours and 7 hours to reach Ella. Taking a train is considered one of the most beautiful train routes in the world! We fully agree with this!

Sri Lanka is one of the world's largest exporters of tea. Since tea was introduced in Sri Lanka in the middle of the 19th century, Nuwara Eliya has become the capital of the tea industry. To date, Nuwara Eliya is a European vegetable producer representing Sri Lanka, distributing all vegetables to other parts of the island. After the coffee in Sri Lanka withered in the 1870s, Sir James Taylor introduced a tea plantation centering the Nurara Eliya district as the center of highland tea cultivation area in central Sri Lanka. The first plantation at the experimental stage was founded in 1867 at Loolecondera Estate between Candy and Nuwara Eliya. In 1885, the Takahara railroad extended from Nuwara Eliya to Nanuya 5 km south.
