Nutcracker Auditions 2018

Ballet of the Nutcracker was founded in Moscow in 1892. Music was created by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky and used instruments such as Selestat. The Nutcracker tells the story of Clara, a girl who accepts the Nutcracker as a Christmas gift. In this fairy tale, the toy becomes brilliant and fights a group of rats. Clara and her Nutcracker became prince, ruled by sugar plum fairies, and entered the sweet home. There, they witnessed many wonderful dances from all over the world, and the Sugar Plum Fairy danced with the royal knights. Today it is one of the most popular ballet in the world, and many ballet performances are performed every holiday season.

Tchaikovsky wrote a Nutcracker at the request of Ivan Vsevolozhskii (Poznansky, 2012), director of the Royal Theater. The Nutcracker is based on a fairy tale of E. T. A. Hoffman who likes this fairy tale. However, he does not like to use the Nutcracker in the ballet scene. Ballet is a story of a girl, Clara, given a Nutcracker by Christmas.
