Please describe the fatigue experience of the hospital nurse leader. Fatigue is a major issue in the field of nursing. While the existing literature focuses on the fatigue of employees' nurses, the high demand faced by nurse leaders can lead to risks associated with fatigue and patient, nurse, and organizational outcomes there is. Hybrid approach including 21 nurse administrators (10 nurse managers and 11 nurses) in a state hospital in the Midwest, semistructured interview and occupational fatigue waste recovery scales. Most nurse leaders experience fatigue; the nurse manager reports higher levels of chronic fatigue. Participants identified the causes of various fatigue, including 24-hour accountability and role expectations combined with health, recovery, social support, and border setting strategies to cope with fatigue. The results of nurse leaders' fatigue include the impact on decision-making, work-life balance, and intention to leave.
